I understand that young people with special needs may have a range of unpredictable behaviors, including but not limited to aggression, elopement, inappropriate language, grabbing, breaking materials and throwing objects. I affirm that my child meets that behavior requirements laid out in the registration form and can abide by the safety rules of NOLArts.
While NOLArts staff screens participants and makes every effort to ensure the comfort and safety of all participants I recognize that the nature of special needs means that participants may emit inappropriate behaviors which will be detrimental and potentially hazardous to others or themselves.
I further understand that my child will be participating in physical activities including dancing, drumming, flag and baton twirling, hula hooping and other forms of moderate movement and exercise. I agree to inform NOLArts of any physical limitations or special medical conditions which would inhibit my child’s participation in such activities. I will release NOLArts and First Grace UMC from any liability related to harm through the use or misuse of art and performance related materials and tools.
